Ecowarm RadiantBoard is a lightweight, quick responding, low thermal mass system best known for its ideal mixture of performance and cost, making it the best value in the industry.
Ecowarm RadiantBoard is a modular radiant panel system comprised of grooved plywood boards laminated with aluminum designed to be used in new construction and remodeling over a sub-floor or when properly installed, over cement. The two board types in the Ecowarm system have 2 patterns; straight and combo that is laid out and installed in a pattern and attached by means of construction adhesive combined with screws or cross stapling as recommended in the Installation Manual. The pattern creates the pathway into which 1/2″ ASTM F 876-877 PEX tubing is placed. When warm water is pumped through the tubing, it then rapidly provides luxurious, silent, even heat. It can be used under almost any floor covering. Typically, the board is applied over 80% to 90% of a project that is not under stairs or cabinets. Advantages:
Fast Recovery From Set Back
The thin thermal mass and conductive aluminum laminate provide fast recovery allowing the heat to be dispersed quickly. The responsiveness of Ecowarm permits the use of setback thermostats saving fuel and adding comfort. Conventional 1 ½″ Gypcrete or concrete takes four times as long to respond.
High-Efficiency Panels
The Ecowarm highly conductive aluminum laminate delivers heat with little resistance permitting the use of lower water temperatures resulting in lower energy bills.
Light Weight
Radiant systems using a gypsum pour or concrete thermal mass weight 12-14 lbs./ sq./ft. over a subfloor. Ecowarm weights 2 lbs./sq./ft eliminating the need for upgraded joist systems.
Low Profile
The Ecowarm RadiantBoard highly conductive aluminum laminate delivers heat with little resistance permitting the use of lower water temperatures resulting in lower energy bills.
